I hate it when anyone does this... especially when someone is just being nice or isn't even attracted to you.
When someone gives you a compliment you thank them. Simple as that... you don't go and tell them that you're taken. This shows that you're conceited and are possibly a candidate for Kanye West syndrome.

Kanye West Syndrome: A person who thinks that people want, or need to hear what they have to say, or what they think about any situation whether it directly involves, or has nothing to do with them at all. The majority of the time what they have to say is in fact ignorant bullshit, and the world would have been a better place if this person had not opened their mouth at all.)
People who tell someone that gave them a compliment that they are taken, makes me so mad... and plus when they just tell everyone of the blue in a conversation that has NOTHING TO DO WITH IT.
For fucks sake, we've seen you and your little date making out in the fucking corner while everyone else is having fun, we know you're dating, good for you, keep it to yourself and move along, and do whatever you guys want to each other as long as we don't have to see all the graphic content we're fine. (Side note: I am not shaming you for being in an open relationship but some of us just don't wanna see your lovey dovey crap. Okay?)
